Make your bed

Why not!! It takes less than 3 minutes and it makes me feel good that I’ve managed to do something domestic and routine before I leave the house. I also get to enjoy a made bed when I walk into my bedroom at the end of a long day.

Drink a glass water

You can’t function well if you are dehydrated. The water is even better if you add a lovely slice of lemon and some ice. I have recently been advised that I should drink 1-2 litres of water a day – this is a work in progress, but it is on my mind now.

Hunt the good

In Positive Psychology there is this thing called the Positivity Ratio which basically says that for every negative experience you have, you need 3 positives experiences as well. I like to be organised and get a head start on my positive experiences, so, every morning, before I get up and make my bed, I sit and take a few minutes to remember or think about what I am grateful for. This could be something I can see, something that has happened, a person in my life or a positive memory that I like to reminisce on.

Best of luck!
