My “20 for 2020” List

Hi All 2 of you who are reading my blog! And that’s OK, you have to start somewhere.

It’s nearly the end of January, how fast did that month go!!!!

I’ve now created my “20 for 2020” List (Thanks Grethchin Rubin) and it's proudly displayed on my kitchen splashback.

I've placed it somewhere I can see it most days so I’m reminded about what I want to achieve in 2020. The list is a mixture of things to do routinely and things I want to experience. I also added a few items I knew I could tick off my list quickly.

There’s things on the list that I have wanted to do for years – No 2: Write 3 times a week, and there are a few new things that I think I might like to try – No 11: Buy really good shape-wear. For some of them I’m going to need some suggestions, so I’ll be asking for people’s ideas. For some of them I’m going to have to be very disciplined, like establishing a morning and evening routine! Establishing it might be the easy part, it’s more the follow-through that I might struggle with? I’m not very good with routine, hence weekly and monthly tasks feature on my list. I'm not a Creature of Habit, but I do want to become one!

You might be thinking, why bother with a list, and I’m here to tell you, “if it aint written, it aint getting done! A list like this holds me accountable. Putting my list somewhere that my family and friends can see gives me outer accountability and as an Obliger (thanks again Gretchin Rubin) I need this to get things done.

Remember I said I'd put a few things on my list which I could get done quickly:

6. Organise red Flagstaff Bin for security shredding – done!

7. Have a Vision Board Party – done! I want to do this one again, enjoyed it so much!

8. Come-up with a word for 2020 – “Connection” – done!

This feels sooooo good and it’s just the beginning. I’ve also started to drink lemon water in the mornings as part of my morning routine, I’m half-way through “The Source” (thanks evening routine) and I made my first plant-based new recipe – Zucchini and Corn Fritters with salad and home-made dressing!

I'm getting things done in January and I’m very positive that this is just the start, bring on February!!

Until next time

Tracy
